This long frock is patterned after an extant 1880’s specimen, and has the same fit and features throughout. Medium weight poly-wool blend fabric makes for a comfortable warm-weather coat. Four button front, pleated back skirt, and self fabric covered buttons throughout. Features two interior breast pockets, no exterior pockets. Fully satin lined. Imported, dry clean only. Shell 70% polyester, 18% wool, 12% rayon. Lining 100% acetate. Coat sizes 38 - 52. NOTE: this item is by special order, please allow an extra 1 week for delivery.

To measure your chest: Raise your arms slightly and measure just under your arms. Be sure to cross over the shoulder blades and the fullest part of the chest. If your belly measures larger than your chest, use your belly measurement for coat size. |
Longs: If indicated in the selection list (e.g. 46L,) long sizes may also be available. Longs are approximately 2" longer in the back and sleeves. |

My biggest disappointment with the coat was that the color was much darker than what appeared online. The lighting in the photos over exposes the photos and makes the coat appear a light driftwood tan. The true color is much closer to a mocha. The coat is very lightly tailored. It has a quilted "canvas" which does ride inside the chest of the coat. It does not mold as easily as hair cloth but does have the ability of have additional canvas or armo added. The shoulder pads are a semi dense foam that was stitched into the armscye. I don't know how durabLe they would be over time, but appear easily replacable.
