Despite the sweltering temperatures from the steam-operated press, he never showed his bare shirtsleeves on the job as occasionally a woman would drop by with a last-minute piece for the daily edition.

Cut close to the body, this fully-lined men’s coat is designed with narrow arm holes and high narrow lapels; there is no back vent. Four buttons fasten up the round-bottom front hem while two flap pockets are situated above the hips. One breast pocket is hidden in the interior to keep essentials safe. Pair with the coordinating New Birmingham Pinstripe Pants and Vest for a spot-on late nineteenth or early twentieth century men’s look.
