Rufus Thornton, Stagecoach Driver

When he was a young man, Rufus' uncle told him that his appetite for riding, drinking and shooting would get him into trouble unless he found a constructive outlet, so he decided at age 18 to become a stagecoach driver. His favorite run is from San Juan to Glenwood and he prides himself on his coach's timely arrivals, brooking no delays from passengers or passersby. His habit of carrying 3 loaded shotguns and his unerring ability to shoot a bulls eye while the team is at a full gallop has guaranteed that he has only been beset by outlaws once. Although he spends his days on the dusty trail, Rufus cleans up real nice.
